ABOUT THE SCHOOL

This school was established by the Raja Ram Education society in 2003. It is a co-educational, unaided english medium school, It is recognized by the Directorate of Education, Delhi and is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education [CBSE].

The school offers a wide range of courses at the +2 level in two streams, namely Commerce and Humanities.The school not only aims at the academic growth of its students but also strives to achieve excellence in other aspects of their personality. Emphasis is laid on imparting moral values and providing the right environment for the all – round development of their personality and self-esteem.

Inculcation of values as well as innovative and progressive methods in the teaching- learning process have helped the school establish a reputation for excellence and carve out a niche for itself among the leading schools in Delhi.

Located in F-Block , Hari nagar extn, Badarpur has been functioning since 2003. The school is a co-educational institution following the syllabus of All India Secoundary and Senior Secondary Schools.

While English is the medium of instruction, equal emphasis is laid on Hindi and Sanskrit is the third language taught to Classes V-VIII.

The school is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education [CBSE].

Board Examinations for Class 10 and Class 12 are held under the All India Secondary and All India Senior Secondary examinations respectively.

The best of modern learning at an affordable price is imparted by a highly trained and motivated set of teachers.

FACILITIES

Raj Modern Public School has a large building complex with all modern amenities. The effort is to develop a multi-dimensional, inter- disciplinary paradigm of teaching. The School provides for the all round development of students.

Games and Sports:
The School provides facilities for all games and sports.

Yoga and Health:
Yoga lessons form a part of the school curriculum and are used in training the mind and body for self- discipline. The school provides first aid at the school premises.
An annual health check up is a compulsory part of the school curriculum.

Library:

Our School library provides academic resources for all constituents of the school students, faculty and administrative staff.
The library strives to make resources readily accessible when and wherever they are needed to enhance and promote the total growth and development of the students.

Computer Science Lab:

The School has a well equipped Computer science laboratory with state-of-the-art computers and latest version of utility softwares.
Computer Science has been introduced by the School as an additional subject. It has also set up a compu-theatre linked to the internet. The school is on its way to impact education online.

Smart Classes:

Comprehensive Laboratory System:

To enhance learning ability and skill and impact practical exposure about theoretical concepts, the school has a composite science laboratory with latest equipments.
Students were taken regularly to laboratory in their practical periods.

Musical and Dance room:

Children are taught folk and light and classical music along with the instrument such as Sitar, Harmonium, Bongo etc. Children are taught to appreciate music and dance by a team of dedicated and talented teachers of melody and rhythm.
The fundamentals of various dance forms are also taught to students who have a passion towards dancing by Indian and Western dance teachers.

CURRICULUM:

As an English medium school, Raj Modern Public School is recognized by the Directorate of Education, Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi.
RMPS is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi for All India Secondary and Senior Secondary Examinations.
The emphasis is on language, numerical and aesthetic development along with Nature Study through activity and play that is conductive to the physical and emotional growth of the children in their respective age groups.
At the senior secondary level, the school provides following cources:

Science,Commerce and Humanities.
Science: English core, Maths, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Physical Education / Computer Science.
Commerce: English core, Business studies, Accountancy, Economics and Maths / Physical Education.
Humanities: English core, History, Political Science, Economics and Physical Education/ Hindi core

School timing:
7.55 a.m. to 2.00 p.m.

Evaluation and Promotion Policy:

For pre-primary to classes I to V:

The evaluation process has been designed by keeping a development profile for each child. The profile presents information on the children and their development in a continuous manner. It focuses not only on learning subjects but on the total personality development of the child. There is continuous observation of children in different aspects of development. The attempt is to translate the curriculum in a more personalized, joyful and fun manner, relevant to individual learning styles of children.

For classes VI to VIII:

We follow a pattern of cumulative and comprehensive evaluation. The session is divided into two terms-April to September and October to March. In each term there are two periodic tests followed by term end. Assessment in each subject. Each term has 50% weightage. In order to develop thinking skills, social skills, emotional skills, a strong value system, right attitudes a number of activities are conducted. A number of periods have been allotted to art, craft, yoga, games and many other activities offered as SUPW activity

For Classes IX and X:

The session is divided into two terms- April to September and October to March. In each term there are two periodic tests followed by term end assessment in each subject. In order to develop thinking skills, social skills, emotional skills, a strong value system, right attitude a number of activities are conducted. A number of periods have been allotted to art, craft, yoga, games and many other activities offered as SUPW activity.

For classes IX and X:

The session is divided into two terms –April to September and October to March. In each term there are two periodic tests followed by term end assessment in each subject. In order to develop thinking skills, social skills, emotional skills, a strong value system, right attitudes a number of activities are conducted. A number of periods have been allotted to art, craft, yoga, games and many other activities offered as SUPW activity. The CBSE rules for passing the exams, improvements and for upscaling the grades are strictly adhered to.

For Class XI:

Two terminal examinations are conducted – Half yearly in the month pf September and final in March. Apart from it two unit tests are conducted in the first term and two in the second term. Promotion is done on the basis of overall performance. The weightage for the different tests/ examinations is :

First term: 30%
Second term: 50%
Tests: 15%
Internal assessment and class performance: 5%
The students are required to score a minimum of 33% for promotion to the next class. In practical subjects, the students are required to pass theory and practical separately. The weightage for each each term is 50%

For Class XII

For this class the aim is to prepare the students for the board-examination. The students have to appear in two/three unit tests and two terminal examinations – first in the month of October and than pre-board in the month of January.

Withdrawal/ Transfer from the School:

In case any student is to be withdrawn from the school at least one months advance notice is required. If the notice period is less than a month, fee dues will be charged.
Transfer certificate will be issued only on clearance of the school dues.
The Principal has the full authority to issue Transfer Certificate to a student whose parent is found indulging in activities detrimental to the smooth functioning of the school.
Students whose progress is unsatisfactory or conduct is unbecoming or whose parents/ guardians show little interest in the progress of their wards, can also be removed from the school.

Attendance:

It is compulsory for all the students to attend the morning assembly. Students are expected to reach school by 7.50 a.m. Late coming is liable to disciplinary measures. Those coming late will not be permitted to enter the school.
All students must participate in school activities such as sports, physical exercise, functions etc.. , unless medically unfit and given permission by the principal of the school.
It is compulsory for students to attend classes as per the time table and to have at least 75% attendance for promotion to the next class.
No student is allowed to leave the school without the written permission of the Headmistress/ Vice-Principal/Principal. Students are not permitted to leave the school on their own or with any body else except the parents or guardian.

Leave of Absence:

A leave application signed by the parent or guardian should be sent preferably on the day of absence and in any case when the child rejoins the school.
If a student is absent without intimation for more than five days, his/her name is liable to be struck off the rolls.
Students suffering from any infection or disease must complete the quarantine before rejoining the school. In such a case, the medical certificate should indicate the type of illness with a fitness certificate.

School Fees:

All fees shall be payable by 15thday of every month [on the next day if happen to be a holiday] failing which, action will be taken against the defaulting student under the provisions of the Delhi School Education Act and Rules 1973. However those who want to pay the fee quarterly can do so.
